There are currently around 13 million women in the UK in peri or post menopause, with 3 in 4 women experiencing symptoms.
The symptoms of menopause range from brain fog, anxiety and depression, to hot flushes/night sweats, headaches and migraines, and muscle aches and pains. There are over 30 recognised symptoms of menopause, which means it is likely that every woman experiences this time differently.
What is menopause?
Why does nutrition and lifestyle matter in menopause?
Oestrogen impacts every cell in the body. It controls how the body uses calcium and also has cholesterol lowering effects. This means that pre, during and post menopause, we need to be even more aware of what we're eating and how we're moving, to keep our body functioning healthily and as optimally as possible. Nutrition and Lifestyle advice can help you to manage the changes experienced in menopause, through non-hormonal methods.

Support groups can help you by creating a safe space for you to talk and/or listen to yours and others' experiences. They can help by answering questions you never knew you had, and also give you an outlet to share the thoughts and emotions running through your mind.
