"Reaching my 18th birthday, I weighed 21 stone. The next 10 years was a roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain, up and down those scales I climbed. Today, at 30 years old, I've lost 10 stone. You'd think I would be shouting my success from the rooftops, but my energy levels were at an all time low. This is where the magnificent Meg came into my life. "Prior to my sessions with Megan I would not attempt cooking from scratch to prepare family meals, and would instead purchase family ready meals or buy elements of the dinner already cooked. Megan was extremely supportive and helped me to prepare and cook family meals and lunches, and to understand basic but nutritional meals that I could then build upon.
Prior to working with Megan not only was my cooking an issue but so was my diet which resulted in flare ups of IBS and stomach cramps and bloating. This played a huge part in me feeling low and tired every day. Since working with Megan and her support in helping me understand food groups and those which may also cause bloating and cramps, I now have a much greater understanding of which foods to mix together to provide a balanced diet, and which I now do not eat or only in moderation to avoid pain and bloating. Through our sessions Megan gave me the confidence to experiment with different food for lunch, snacks and dinner which gave me an all round balanced meal - making the bloating disappear. My energy levels have increased and although we are still working on my calorie intake Megan provides support and guidance through helping me cook and setting challenges to increase variety into my diet. This experience has and continues to be a positive one which is helping me to make better food choices for life."
